A: Our design services are structured as a flat fee, covering everything from initial concept through final documentation. Design oversight is billed hourly, so you only pay for the time we spend on site and coordinating with your contractor. Every project receives a detailed proposal after an initial consultation so you know exactly what to expect before we begin.
Q: What does your design process look like?
A:Every project follows four phases. We start with Discovery: a conversation about how you live and how you want your space to feel. From there, we move into Design, where we translate your goals into clear visual concepts, source materials, and make every decision with confidence. During Oversight, we manage vendors and coordinate closely with your contractor so the vision stays protected and every detail is handled with care. Finally, even after installation we stay connected, because great design evolves as life unfolds.
Q: How long does a design project take?
A: Timelines depend on scope. A furnishing and styling project typically takes 6 to 10 weeks. A full interior design for a renovation typically takes 3 to 6 months of design time before construction begins. Landscape designs typically take 6 to 12 weeks with installation scheduled around optimal planting seasons. We provide a project-specific timeline in every proposal.
Q: Do you handle purchasing, or do we buy directly?
A: We handle purchasing for furnishing, decor, and custom materials on your behalf. We specify every item, prepare complete purchasing documentation, and manage the process from order to delivery, so you have full transparency on cost, warranties, and ownership without the administrative burden. Our trade relationships guarantee you access to products below retail prices.
Q: What is a Design Consultation and how do I get started?

Q: Do you work with our contractor, or do you provide one?
A: We work alongside your contractor, or we can recommend trusted DFW builders and landscape contractors we partner with regularly. Construction and installation are contracted directly between you and the contractor, while Avesso Studio provides design oversight: reviewing work against the drawings, answering questions on site, and protecting the design intent from start to finish.
Q: Can you design just my interiors, or just my landscape?
A: Yes. While our signature offering unifies interior and landscape into one cohesive experience, we regularly take on interiors-only and landscape-only projects. Because one studio designs both, even a single-scope project benefits from thinking about how indoor and outdoor spaces connect.
